Not today. With today’s generation of website builders your website can be up and running in a matter of minutes. And you never have to touch any HTML code!

It’s kind of like driving your car and never having to open the hood and repair the engine.

IM-Creator – A Building Block Approach

IM-Creator approach to website creation is different from the other all-inclusive packages because it uses content blocks to create your website.

Its XPRS drag & drop construction is different from other website builder platforms and is more like building with Lincoln Logs (remember those?) or Lego blocks.

Im-Creator has pre-populated templates with sample content that can be edited for a fast website launch. And, you can use enhancement features like mouse over and animation effects to add sizzle to your website.

There are also pre-designed sections, like the pre-populated templates, so you don’t have to create from scratch. Some available sections are: Pricing, Team, Features, and Active Projects.

GoDaddy – Limited Functionality

GoDaddy is best known for website domain names and web hosting.

Web.com – Building Your Website For You

Web.com is unique in the all-inclusive website design market because it is primarily a hosting company.

You can contract with them to build, setup, manage, and market your website.

The entry fee of $1.95 looks good but quickly escalates to $22 after the first month and product pricing is based on getting the upsell.

The domain name is free for the first year but $37 per year on renewal.

Web.com’s products and pricing strategy are confusing. The do-it-yourself plan starts at $1.95 and renews at $22.00 per month but the hosting plan which starts at $5.95 renews at $12.95 and appears to be about the same product.

The company will not provide a price list because web designs are custom developed.

Summary: Web.com is an all-inclusive blog do-it-yourself or build it for me and website solution. It has drag & drop construction and a good form builder. The $37 per year domain name renewal price seems high compared to competitor prices which can be as low as half. This product is not recommended because of the confusing pricing and upsell focus.

What Do I Recommend?

The best website builder software review 2018  makes it possible for anyone to select the right product to build and publish a website even with limited computer skills. No geek speak required.

What Do I Recommend

The decision on the best website builder software to meet your needs will depend on four things:

  1. Who your audience is
  2. How your website helps your audience
  3. If a free website will work for you
  4. Your monthly website budget if a free website can’t provide the functionality you’ll need
  5. What support and training you need to build a successful online business

Each of the 4 top website builder software programs has something to offer.

You might even decide that one of the best software builder software programs that I don’t recommended is right for your needs.  That’s okay because you are making and informed decision.

  1. Steven, great review! I didn’t realize there were so many websites out there to help you build a website. I guess I haven’t done the research like you have. The only ones I had heard about were Go-Daddy, Wix and Wealthy Affiliate.
After reading all your information on all the other programs, I think Wealthy Affiliate is the best way to go!
The other companies have all kinds of prices and different things at different prices. It can get kind of confusing for an ole man like me!
At least with Wealthy Affiliate, there is one yearly fee for a lot more than what these other people offer.
At least that’s what I think, for what it’s worth! THX Wayne
